Overview
LICHEN LC-MDJ-3000E Solid Density Meter is a direct reading Density Meter designed based on the principle of Archimedes water displacement method. It is mainly used for the measurement of the density and volume of solid, granular, thin film, floating, powder and other samples. It can directly read the average weight of the sample in air, the average weight in water and the density value.
Features
1. Directly read the density and volume of any solid block, particle, floating body with a density > 1 or < 1.
2. With temperature compensation setting and solution compensation setting functions, the operation is more user-friendly and more in line with the needs of on-site operations.
3. Integrated injection molding of density measurement table, easy and fast installation, long service life.
4. The integrated forming corrosion-resistant large sink design is adopted to reduce the error caused by the buoyancy of the hanging rail line and facilitate the testing of larger block objects.
5. With density upper and lower limit functions, it can determine whether the specific gravity of the object to be tested is qualified or not, and a buzzer device is provided.
6. The whole system adopts German HBM Sensor.
7. Built-in battery, equipped with Draft Shield, more suitable for field testing (E series large weighing does not come with Draft Shield).
8. Standard RS232 external interface.
9. Large-screen LCD display.
10. Optional liquid accessories can test the density and concentration of the liquid.
Principle
The Density Meter uses the principle of water displacement method of Archimedes. By measuring the weight of the sample in air and completely immersed in a liquid of known density (such as water), the volume of the sample is calculated using the principle of buoyancy, and then its density value is directly obtained.

Steps
1. Place the sample on the measurement table and measure its weight in the air.
2. Immerse the sample completely in water (or other liquid of known density) and measure its weight in water.
3. The instrument automatically calculates and directly displays the density value and volume of the sample according to the Archimedes principle.
Notice
Make sure the sample is clean and drying before measurement.
• When the sample is immersed in liquid, it needs to be completely immersed and there is no bubble adhesion on the surface.
• According to the test requirements, set the temperature compensation and solution compensation parameters correctly.
• Clean the measurement table and sink in time after use and keep the instrument drying.
Do not exceed the maximum weighing range of the instrument (3000g).
• For the E-series high-volume models, please note that they are not equipped with Draft Shield.
• After the liquid accessories are selected, the liquid density and concentration can be tested.
