Overview
XFMD-3205A Touch Screen Solid Density Meter is a measuring instrument of LICHEN brand, using the principle of Archimedes water displacement method. The instrument is mainly used for the measurement of the density of solid, granular, thin film, floating, powder and other samples. It can directly read the average weight of the sample in air, the average weight in water, and the density value and volume.
Features
1. Operating interface with touch screen.
2. Based on the principle of Archimedes substitution in water.
3. It can directly measure and display the average weight in air, average weight in water, density value and volume of various forms of samples (solid, granular, thin film, floating, powder).
4. The weighing range is from 0.005 grams to 300 grams.
5. The density accuracy is 0.001 g/cm3.
Principle
The Density Meter is based on the Archimedes method of water displacement. By measuring the weight of the sample in air and the weight of the sample completely immersed in water (or Miscellaneous immersion solution), the buoyancy principle is used to calculate the volume of the sample, and then the density value is obtained.
Applications
Rubber, Plastic, Wire and cable, Oil bearing, Composites, Cosmetics, Shoe Material, Glass, Precious Metal Hardware Recycling, Powder Metallurgy Material, Magnetic Material
Standards
GB/T533、ISO2781、ASTMD297-93、DIN 53479、ASTMD792、D618、D891、ISO1183、GB/T1033、ASTM D792-00、JISK6530
Steps
1. Place the sample on the measurement table and measure its weight in the air.
2. The sample is completely immersed in the impregnation solution (such as water), and its weight in the water is measured.
3. The instrument automatically calculates and displays the density value and volume of the sample according to the measured data.
Notice
* Please make sure the sample is clean and drying before measurement.
Make sure the sample is completely submerged and free of bubbles when immersed in the liquid.
Select the appropriate impregnation solution according to the characteristics of the sample.
* The operating environment should be stable to avoid vibration and airflow interference.
Regularly calibrate and maintain instruments.
