Overview
XFMD-6205A Touch Screen Solid Density Meter is a precision measuring instrument designed based on the principle of Archimedes water displacement method. It is mainly used for the measurement of the density, volume, average weight in air and average weight in water of solid, granular, thin film, floating, powder and other samples.
Features
1. Operating interface, intuitive and convenient.
2. Based on the principle of Archimedes water displacement method, the measurement is accurate.
3. A variety of physical parameters of the sample can be directly read, including average weight in air, average weight in water, density value and volume.
4. Wide weighing range, suitable for samples from 0.005g to 600g.
Principle
The Density Meter uses the Archimedes principle of water displacement. By measuring the weight of the sample in air and the weight of the sample completely submerged in water (or a liquid of known density in Miscellaneous), the buoyancy principle is used to calculate the volume of the sample, and then its density value is obtained.
Applications
Rubber, Plastic, Wire and cable, Oil bearing, Composites, Cosmetics, Shoe Material, Glass, Precious Metal Hardware Recycling, Powder Metallurgy Material, Magnetic Material
Standards
GB/T533、ISO2781、ASTMD297-93、DIN 53479、ASTMD792、D618、D891、ISO1183、GB/T1033、ASTM D792-00、JISK6530
Steps
1. Place the sample on the measurement table and measure its average weight in the air.
2. Submerge the sample completely in water (or specify the liquid) and measure its average weight in water.
3. The instrument automatically calculates and displays the density value and volume of the sample according to the measured data.
Notice
• Before measurement, make sure that the surface of the sample is clean and drying without bubble adhesion.
• When submerging the sample, ensure that it is completely covered with liquid and does not come into contact with the container wall.
• Select the appropriate liquid medium according to the characteristics of the sample.
• Regularly calibrate instruments to ensure Measurement accuracy.
Do not exceed the maximum weighing range of the instrument (600g).
