Overview
The TQC sheen VF9600 minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) tester is used to determine the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) (MFFT) of emulsion, latex or gluing agents, the minimum temperature at which a film coalesces uniformly when applied to a substrate. The instrument heats and chills down hard chrome metal platens to produce a variable temperature layer in the range of -30 to + 250 ° C. Equipped with 10 uniformly distributed temperature transducers, precise temperature control through an integrated digital controller helps formulators create products that are correctly curing under the desired application conditions.
Features
1. Use grinding hard chrome metal platen to ensure uniform sample deposition
2. Wide temperature range, covering -30 to + 250 ° C
3. Equipped with 10 evenly distributed temperature transducers
4. Integrated digital controller and display for precise temperature control
5. Variable temperature layer can be generated and maintained constant
6. Equipped with transparent cover and drying air flow to prevent condensation and ensure test repeatability
7. Can be used to simulate stacking capacity testing
Principle
The instrument generates a temperature layer by heating and chilling down a metal platen, which is applied to the platen using a thin film coating applicator, protected from environmental conditions by a transparent cover, while generating a drying air flow to prevent condensation. Determine the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) by observing the film formation of the sample at different temperature points; for blocking capability testing, the sample is weighed by a specified load to simulate stacking conditions.
Applications
Emulsions, LaTeX, gluing agents, dispersions, synthetic resins, enamels, Spreaders, foils, printing products
Standards
DIN ISO 2115、DIN 53366、ASTM D 2354、ASTM D 1465、ISO 2115、ISO/DIS 4622
Steps
1. Apply the sample to the platen using a thin film coating applicator
2. Cover with a transparent cover to protect the sample
3. Start drying air flow to prevent condensation
4. Set the temperature layer through the controller
5. Observe the film formation of the sample at different temperature points
6. Record minimum film forming temperature (MFFT)
7. For blocking capability testing, apply the specified load and weigh it
