The LC-PJ-400 Pat Sterile Homogenizer is a sample pretreatment device from the LICHEN brand, designed to separate microbial particles contained on the inside and surface from solid samples. It ensures that the mixed samples in the sterile bag are fully representative by pat method, and is especially suitable for microbial detection sample preparation in the fields of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Principle
The device drives the paddle plate through a motor to repeatedly pat the sterile homogeneous bag containing the sample and dilution at a set speed (3-12 times/second). The impact force and shear force generated by the paddle can effectively crush the solid sample, so that the microorganisms or target components inside it are uniformly released and dispersed into the solution, so as to obtain a representative homogeneous liquid for subsequent analysis.

Steps
1. Put the sample and an appropriate amount of dilution into a disposable sterile homogenizing bag and seal it.
2. Put the homogeneous bag into the working chamber of the equipment, and adjust the distance of the pat to make it effectively contact the sample bag.
3. Set the pat speed, time and other parameters through the 4.3-inch Touchscreen, or call the preset program.
4. Close the safety door and start the equipment to start the homogenization process.
5. After the work is completed, the device issues a voice alarm, and a homogeneous sample can be obtained by taking out the homogeneous bag.

• Select the appropriate pat speed and homogenization time according to the characteristics of the sample.
• Use disposable sterile homogenizing bags to avoid cross-contamination.
• When the equipment alarms, please check for faults (such as over-temperature, short circuit, etc.) or confirm whether the work is completed according to the prompts.
• The sample can be observed through the tempered Glass window, do not open the safety door during operation.
• If the working chamber needs to be disinfected, the built-in sterilizing lamp function can be enabled.
• If the sample needs heating, the work area heating function can be enabled (only LC-PJ-400GM models have it).
