Overview
LEEB U914 Portable Leeb hardness tester is a true color screen Hardness testing instrument based on the Richter Hardness Measurement principle. It adds four hardness of materials to the existing data table and develops the "User Materials" function, which theoretically can test the Hardness of all metal materials, greatly expanding the scope of use. The instrument adopts a large-screen true color LCD display and menu operation, and the design conforms to the "Leeb hardness tester technical conditions" JB/T 9378-2001 standard.
Features
1. According to the Richter Hardness Measurement principle, all metal materials can be tested for High Accuracy.
2. Added four kinds of hardness of materials, and has the function of "user material", theoretically can test all metal materials.
3. Easy to switch to all Hardness formats (HL, HB, HRB, HRC, HRA, HV, HS), and convert each Hardness measurement value in parallel.
4. Adopt large-screen true-color LCD display and WOINDOWS interface, providing clear and intuitive information.
5. Menu operation, simple and convenient operation, can adjust the LCD luminance arbitrarily.
6. Equipped with USB communication interface, it is convenient to exchange data and set parameters with PC.
7. One main engine can be equipped with 7 different impact devices, automatically identifying the type of impact device, and no need to re-calibrate when replacing.
8. Hardness measurement data can be stored up to 600 groups, each group contains information such as single Measured value, average value, measurement date, Impact direction, number of times, material, Hardness system, etc.
9. The upper and lower limits of Hardness value can be preset, and the automatic alarm will be issued if the range is exceeded.
10. Adopt plastic alloy shell, ultra-high strength, anti-vibration, Impact and electromagnetic interference.
11. The power supply adopts an integrated lithium battery, which can work continuously for at least 100 hours. It has power-saving functions such as automatic sleep and automatic shutdown. There is a remaining power indicator icon on the LCD.
12. Adjustment of indication software.
13. It can be equipped with powerful microcomputer software to meet the higher requirements of mass assurance activities and management.
Principle
The instrument works based on the Richter Hardness Measurement principle. The impact body is impacted on the surface of the material to be measured by the impact device, and the ratio of the rebound velocity of the impact body to the impact velocity at a distance of 1 mm from the surface of the sample is measured. The Richter Hardness value can be calculated, and can be converted in parallel to the common Miscellaneous Hardness standards (such as HRC, HB, HV, etc.).
Applications
Mold cavities, cores, bearings and other parts, Pressure Vessels, failure analysis of turbo-generators and their equipment, heavy workpieces, installed machinery or permanent assembly parts, workpieces with very small Test space, occasions requiring formal original records of test results, material distinction in metal material warehouses, rapid inspection of large workpieces in a wide range of measurement parts
Standards

Steps
1. Select the appropriate Impact device according to the tested material and install it on the main engine.
2. Turn it on and select or set parameters such as the material under test and the Hardness standard through the menu.
3. Press the Impact device vertically on the surface of the workpiece to be tested, and press the Impact button for measurement.
4. Read the measurement results (single value, average value, etc.) displayed on the screen.
5. The stored measurement data can be transferred to the PC through the USB interface for further analysis and management.
Notice
* Before measurement, please select the Impact device and set the material parameters correctly according to the material being tested.
* Ensure that the Impact device is perpendicular to the measured surface and pressed tightly for accurate measurement results.
* The instrument can make measurements in the 360 ° direction, but measurement results in different directions may need to be compensated according to the built-in algorithm of the instrument.
* Do not use in environments beyond the specified Temperature range (0-40 ° C).
* When the power indicator icon on the LCD screen prompts that the power is insufficient, please charge the instrument in time.
The instrument has automatic sleep and shutdown functions to save power. It is recommended to shut down when not in use for a long time.
* Regularly calibrate instrument indications through Software Adjustment to ensure Measurement accuracy.
Although the instrument housing is resistant to vibration and impact, severe collisions and drops should still be avoided.
For special materials, it is recommended to use the User Materials feature or verify its suitability through testing.
