Overview
U914 Portable Roughness Gauge is a Portable stylus surface roughness shape measurement instrument, suitable for testing in workshop verification stations, laboratories, Measurement rooms and other environments. Measurement parameters comply with international standards and are compatible with the standards of industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The measurement results can be displayed digitally and graphically on the LCD monitor or output to the printer.

Principle
The instrument uses an Inductance Sensor, and the Sensor stylus (diamond stone, radius 5 μm, force measurement 4 mN, angle 90 °) moves along the measured surface under the drive mechanism to convert the microscopic unevenness of the surface into an electrical signal. The signal is controlled and data processed by the built-in DSP chip, analyzed by RC, PCRC, Gauss or ISO13565 filters, and finally various parameters such as asperity, ripple, and original contour are calculated and displayed.

Steps
1. Select and install the appropriate Sensor according to the measurement requirements.
2. Turn on the power supply of the instrument and make the necessary initial settings such as language and clock.
3. Measurement parameters such as sampling length, evaluation length, filter type, etc.
4. Place the Sensor smoothly and tightly on the surface of the workpiece to be tested.
5. Start the measurement, the instrument automatically drives the Sensor to complete Travel and collect data.
6. After the measurement is completed, view the measurement results (numbers and graphics) on the display screen.
7. You can choose to store data, connect the printer output, or transfer data through the USB interface.

* Ensure that the Sensor interface is clean and tightly plugged into the host to ensure measurement accuracy.
Pay attention to the battery level icon and charge it in time to ensure long-term operation.
The instrument has an automatic shutdown function. Please pay attention to saving data when not operating for a long time.
* In a dim ray of light environment, the LCD backlight function can be turned on for observation.
* Please use the matching Power Adapter for charging.
* Sensor stylus is a precision diamond component and should be avoided during use.
* During measurement, ensure that the Sensor is driven smoothly and the surface to be tested is clean.
