Portable Roughness Gauge U942 is a Portable stylus surface roughness shape measurement instrument, suitable for testing in workshop verification stations, laboratories, Measurement rooms and other environments. Its Measurement parameters meet international standards and are compatible with the standards of industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, etc. The measurement results can be displayed digitally and graphically on the LCD display or output to the printer.

Principle
The Portable Roughness Gauge U942 uses an Inductance Sensor for measurement. The sensor stylus (diamond stone, radius 5μm, force measurement 4mN, angle 90 °) moves on the measured surface, and converts the microscopic contour undulation of the surface into an electrical signal through the principle of Inductance. The signal is controlled and data processed by the built-in DSP chip, and can be analyzed by various filters such as RC, PCRC, Gauss, ISO13565, etc. Finally, various parameters such as asperity, waviness, and original contour are calculated, and the results are displayed in digital and graphical forms.

Steps
1. Power on and select Measurement parameters and settings (e.g. sampling length, rating length, filter, etc.).
2. Place the Sensor smoothly on the tested surface to ensure good contact with the stylus.
3. Start the measurement, and the Sensor automatically moves along the surface to complete the data collection.
4. View the measurement results (numbers and graphics) on the display screen.
5. You can choose to store data (up to 100 sets) or connect to a computer through a USB interface for further analysis and printing reports.
Notice
• Please ensure that the battery is fully charged before use, and charge it in time when the battery is low.
• Keep the Sensor in stable contact with the measured surface during measurement to avoid vibration or tilt.
• Pay attention to protect the Sensor stylus to avoid damage caused by bumping or measurement of hard surfaces.
• Please cover the protective slide cover after use to prevent oil and dust from entering the instrument.
• Please use the matching Power Adapter when charging, and it can work while charging.
• Avoid high temperatures, humidity and strong vibrations during storage and transportation.
