The instrument works through the principle of ultrasonic flaw detection (UFD). The instrument generates an electrical pulse to excite the Probe (transducer), which converts the electrical signal into ultrasonic waves and passes it into the workpiece to be inspected. When ultrasonic waves propagate inside the workpiece and encounter defects (such as crazing, pores) or interfaces, reflection occurs. The instrument receives these reflection echoes, converts them into electrical signals and amplifies, processes and displays them. By analyzing the position, amplitude and other information of the echo, the existence, location, size and nature of the defect can be determined.

Apply a coupling agent to the surface of the workpiece and place the Probe in the area to be inspected for scanning. 6. Observe the A-scan waveform displayed on the screen, identify the defect echo, and the instrument will automatically display the depth, horizontal position, and equivalent of the defect. 7. Basis Weight assessment of defects can be performed using DAC/AVG/TCG Linear dispersion. 8. Record and store waveforms and data for discovered defects. 9. After the flaw detection is completed, you can connect to the computer through a data cable to export the data and generate a flaw detection report.
