Principle
The instrument is based on the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection for thickness measurement. Its core Echo to Echo technology can identify and separate the echo signals on the upper and lower surfaces of the workpiece substrate, thereby ignoring the influence of surface coatings or paint films, and directly calculate the true thickness of the measured workpiece substrate.
Applications
Suitable for a variety of ultrasonic thickness measurement applications, wall thinning measurement of inner wall corrosion fittings, accurate detection of the true thickness of coated workpieces
Steps
Step 1 Power on.
2. Use the air zero function to calibrate (no test block required).
3. Set or confirm the Speed of sound.
4. Couple the Probe to the surface of the workpiece under test.
5. Read and record measurement results.
6. Data can be exported and managed through Interface software.
Notice
• Ensure that the Probe is well coupled to the workpiece surface before measurement.
• Measurement range (0.75~ 1000.0mm) and coating Measurement range (2~ 150mm).
• Ambient Temperature between -20 ° C and 50 ° C.
• Use three AA type alkaline dry batteries for power supply, pay attention to low battery alarm.
• The instrument will automatically turn off the screen after waiting for one minute without signal to save energy.
• Coating thickness can be penetrated up to about 1mm.
