Overview
The SAFETAK GC90S-SO2 Single-point Wall-Mounted Gas Monitor is a device for detecting toxic, flammable and explosive gases such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) in non-explosion-proof environments. It is directly powered by a 220V AC power supply, has a corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum housing, has an IP66 Protection Rating, and can be connected to a Miscellaneous control linkage through an optional relay signal output.
Features

Principle
The alarm uses electrochemistry principle (for poison gas) to detect gas, and monitors specific gas concentrations in the environment through continuous Sampling method. When the detected gas concentration reaches a preset low alarm point or high alarm point, the device will trigger sound and light alarms and output corresponding signals.
Applications
Petroleum, petrochemical, metallurgical and other industrial sites of non-explosion-proof places, gas stations, boiler rooms, laboratories, Food processing and other sites and office environments.
Standards
In line with the national standard of GB12358-2006 "General technical requirements for working environment Gas detection alarm instrument", and obtained the type approval certificate of Measurement instrument.
Steps
1. Install the equipment at the target monitoring location.
2. Connect the 220V AC power supply to power the device.
3. According to requirements, optional connection 4-20mA signal output or relay signal output to Miscellaneous control linkage equipment.
4. After the device is powered on, it enters the continuous detection state, and the real-time concentration is observed through the display screen (LCD or LED).
5. Set parameters (such as alarm points) through the password-protected maintenance menu.
Notice
• This product is suitable for non-explosion-proof environment, please do not use it in places with explosion-proof requirements.
• When installing and maintaining, make sure to follow the password locking mechanism to prevent misoperation.
• Please ensure that the working Ambient Temperature is between -20~ 50 ℃, Humidity ≤ 95% RH and no condensation, and the air pressure is in the range of 86~ 106kPa.
• Regularly check Sensor performance to ensure detection accuracy.
When connecting an external control device, make sure that the Output signal (e.g. relay signal 220V 3A) matches the device.
• Device power consumption, about 8W for gas detection and about 7W for poison gas detection.
