Overview
JFL QXP 0-100 Grindometer is manufactured in accordance with international standards ISO1524 and GB/T 1724-2019 for the determination of particle fineness of Paints and related products. The product is a single-channe Grindometer with a recommended Measurement range of 40~ 90 μm.
Features
1. Comply with international and national standards (ISO1524, GB/T 1724-2019).
2. Made of stainless steel, strong and durable.
3. Single-channe design, easy to operate.
Principle
By placing the sample to be tested on a scraper with a precise depth groove and scraping it uniformly with a matching Drawdown blade, the fineness of particles such as pigments and impurities in the sample is determined by observing the position of particles appearing in the groove.
Applications
Used to determine the fineness of pigments and impurities in Paints, paint paste, inks and other products.
Standards
ISO1524、GB/T 1724-2019
Steps
1. Select the appropriate range Grindometer according to the estimated fineness (50 μm range for fineness below 30 μm, 100 μm or 150 μm range for fineness above 30 μm).
2. Drop the sample to be tested into the groove starting end of the Grindometer.
3. Using the matching Drawdown blade, scrape the sample across the entire groove length at a uniform speed and appropriate pressure.
4. Immediately (usually within 3 seconds) observe the groove at an appropriate angle to determine where the particles appear uniformly.
5. Read the scale value corresponding to this position, which is the fineness of the sample.
Notice
* Make sure that the scraper and Drawdown blade are clean, drying and abrasion-free before use.
* Drawdown blade should be perpendicular to the plane of the scraper and scraped at a uniform speed.
The reading should be completed promptly after scraping the sample to avoid sample drying affecting the judgment.
* According to the estimated fineness of the sample to be tested, select the appropriate measuring instrument to ensure the Measurement accuracy.
* The instrument is a precision measuring tool, please handle it with care to avoid bumping, clean it in time and keep it properly after use.
