Overview

Principle
The wear meter brings two abrasion abrasive wheels at a predetermined distance into contact with the specimen template mounted on the horizontal turntable, and makes the central axis of the two abrasive wheels not in the same plane as the central axis of the turntable. When the turntable swirls/spins, the left abrasive wheels generate friction from the outside to the center of the sample surface, and the right abrasive wheels generate friction from the center of the sample surface to the outside, thereby forming a series of mesh-like intersecting circular friction marks on the sample surface. This arrangement causes friction in all directions of the sample surface, avoiding the directional defect of reciprocating Wear meters in a single direction, and making the abrasion evaluation more objective.

Steps
1. Install the specimen on the horizontal turntable.
2. Select the appropriate abrasive wheels according to the test requirements and install them.
3. Select and load the corresponding load weight according to the test standard (such as paint film or wood).
4. Rotation speed and other parameters of abrasive wheels are set through the programmable controller.
5. Start the instrument and monitor the working status and parameters through the LCD screen.
6. After the test is completed, remove the sample for abrasion evaluation.
