Overview
The QTX film resilience tester is a SHIBO brand professional testing equipment for measuring the flexibility of coated films. The instrument is designed according to the national standard GB1731-79 to evaluate the crack resistance and resilience performance of films by bending paints-coated metal plates on different diameter shaft rods. The test is carried out under environment conditions of 22 +/- 1 ° C and relative humidity not greater than 70%.

Principle
Based on the principle of bending testing, the tester presses a metal plate coated with paints against a shaft rod of different diameters, bends 180 ° (90 ° left and right), and bends for 2 to 3 seconds. The flexibility of the film is evaluated by observing whether the film is crazing or flaking, using 4x magnifying glass. The flexibility indicator is expressed in the minimum diameter of the shaft rod passed.

Determination of coating film flexibility
Steps
1. Use emery cloth or diamond sandpaper to sanding the iron plate and wipe it with loose perfume.
2. Apply paints on the iron plate according to the standard, and wait for the film to dry.
3. Press the sample onto the 15 mm diameter shaft bar, film facing up, bend 180 °.
4. Use 4 times magnifying glass to observe the film, if there is no crazing or flaking, then order on the smaller diameter shaft rod, repeability bending and observation.
5. Record the minimum diameter shaft rod passed as a flexibility indicator.
Notice
• Test environment to be controlled at 22 +/- 1 ° C, relative humidity not more than 70%.
• After sanding the iron plate, wipe it with loose perfume to ensure that the surface is clean.
The bending operation time should be kept within 2 to 3 seconds.
• Use 4x magnifying glass to carefully check film crazing or flaking.
• If the product standard allows, the iron plate can be wiped with loose perfume only without sanding.
