Overview
The SHIBO QGS film drying time tester is used to measure the physical and chemical process of paints from the fluid layer to the film, that is, the drying process. Drying is divided into two main stages: surface drying and actual drying. The instrument tests the actual drying degree of the film by standard weight and cotton ball.
Features
1. Nominal Mass is accurate to 200 +/- 0.2 grams to ensure test accuracy.
2. The weight of the bottom area is 1 square centimeter, which meets the standard test requirements.
3. Easy to operate, combining stopwatch and absorbentcottonph for drying time measurement.
Principle
The measuring device judges the actual drying degree by placing the weight and cotton ball on the surface of the film, and observing whether the film remains cotton ball traces after standing for 30 seconds. Surface drying refers to the formation of a thin film, and actual drying refers to the formation of all Film thicknesses into films.
Steps
Adjust Nominal Mass to 200 +/- 0.2 g.
2. Make absorbentcottonph into 1 cubic centimeter loose cotton ball.
3. After preparing the sample and completing the surface drying measurement, place it in the drying oven for drying.
4. Take out the sample according to the time specified in the product standard, put a cotton ball on the surface of the film, handle the weight lightly and start the stopwatch.
5. Remove the weight and cotton ball after standing for 30 seconds, and check that the film has no cotton ball traces to achieve actual drying.
Notice
- Nominal Mass needs to be precisely adjusted to 200 +/- 0.2 grams.
- Cotton balls should be absorbentcottonph and kept loose.
- Sample preparation and drying shall be carried out according to product standards.
- Be careful with weight during the test to avoid damaging the film.
- stopwatch, forceps, absorbentcottonph, Glass plate or metal plate and drying oven.
