Overview
TEELEN XP-200 Monocular Polarizing Microscope is an instrument required for the research and identification of birefringent substances by using the polarization characteristics of light. The microscope is mainly used in teaching and laboratories, and can observe the structural details of crystalline inclusions such as living cells, nerve fibers, plant fibers, etc., analyze the denaturation process, and the crystallization of various salts in inorganic chemistry. Fine structures that cannot be seen in natural light.
Features
1. Single head 45-degree tilt observation head design, providing a comfortable observation angle
2. Total magnification 40X~ 1000X, covering a wide range of observation requirements
3. Round stage diameter φ 120mm, 360 ° swirl/spin, scale value 1 °, vernier value 6 ′, easy to operate accurately
4. Coaxial coarse fine-tuning with focusing handwheel and homogeneous focus locking, adjustment range 25mm, fine-tuning grid value 0.002mm, to achieve fine focus
5. Built-in dimming 6V20W halogen lamp lighting system, adjustable luminance
6. The swirl/spin polarizer and observation head have built-in polarizer, which supports polarized light observation
7. Abbe condenser N.A.1.25 with variable light bar and color filter to optimize lighting conditions
Principle
The XP-200 Polarizing Microscope generates polarized light through a swirl/spin polarizer based on the polarization characteristics of light. After irradiating the sample, the built-in polarizer of the observation head is used to detect the response of the sample to polarized light. Birefringence occurs when a ray of light passes through a birefringent material. The Microscope amplifies these fine structures through the objective and eyepiece system, allowing the observer to see fine details that are not visible in natural light.
Applications
Medicine, teaching, laboratory
Steps
1. Turn on the power and turn on the built-in dimming 6V20W halogen lamp lighting system
2. Place the sample on the circular stage and adjust the position
3. Rotate the stage for 360 ° swirl/spin, adjust the angle as needed
4. Use the coaxial coarse fine-tuning with focusing handwheel for focusing, first coarse-tuning and then fine-tuning to ensure that the image is clear
5. Adjust swirl/spin polarizer and built-in polarizer to set polarized light conditions
6. Switch the objective lens (4X, 10X, 40X, 100X) through the converter and select the appropriate magnification
7. Observe samples and record or analyze structural details
Notice
• When using a 100x oil lens, make sure that the objective lens and the sample are properly immersed in oil to avoid damage to the lens
• Avoid rapid coarse adjustment when focusing to prevent the objective from colliding with the sample
• Optical inspection parts are kept clean and regularly wiped with special tools
• Power input range is 110-220V/50-60Hz to ensure voltage matching
• Turn off the lighting system after operation to extend the life of the bulb
• Avoid humid and high temperature environments when storing
