Overview
The QIWEI BNT-4T coating-4 Viscometer is an instrument for measuring the viscosity of liquids such as Coatings. It characterizes viscosity by measuring the time it takes for a certain volume of specimen to flow out of a specified aperture at a specific temperature. The results are expressed in seconds and can be converted into kinematic viscosity values according to the formula. The product meets national standards and is suitable for rapid viscosity determination in laboratories and production sites.
Features
1. The cup body is made of pure copper, and the bottom outflow hole is made of stainless steel, making the structure sturdy and durable.
2. The design conforms to the standard of GB/T 1723 Coating Viscosity Determination Method, and the geometric size and inner wall asperity are guaranteed.
Equipped with a correction factor K (range of 1 +/- 0.03), the measurement accuracy can be ensured by calibration.
The capacity is about 100 ml, the diameter of the flow hole is 4 mm, and the measurement time range is 0 to 150 seconds.
Principle
Tu -4 Viscometer measurement is conditional viscosity. The principle is to allow a certain volume (about 100ml) of the sample to flow freely from a specific diameter (4mm) outflow hole at the bottom of the instrument at a specified temperature, and record the time from the start of outflow to the first interruption of the streamer. This time (in seconds) is the conditional viscosity value of the sample. This outflow time can be converted into a kinematic viscosity value (mm ²/s) by a specific formula.
Applications
Coating viscosity determination, paints production and Quality control, inks, Adhesive and other related liquid materials viscosity testing
Steps
1. Clean and drying Viscometer to ensure smooth flow hole.
2. Place the Viscometer on the surface of the water platform and place the receiving container below it.
3. Plug the flow hole with your finger and pour the sample at the specified temperature into the Viscometer until the cup is full.
4. Release your finger and start the stopwatch to allow the sample to flow freely.
5. Observe the streamer, stop the stopwatch immediately when it is interrupted for the first time, and record the outflow time (seconds).
6. According to the outflow time, use the provided formula to calculate or look up the table to obtain the kinematic viscosity value.
Notice
Before use, make sure that the Viscometer correction factor K is within the effective range of 1 +/- 0.03, otherwise it should be replaced.
• Viscometers should be regularly calibrated with a standard viscosity fluid of known kinematic viscosity to ensure accurate measurement.
• Measurements must be made under specified temperature conditions, and temperature control has a significant impact on the results.
Pour into the sample and measurement process, should avoid bubbles, so as not to affect the outflow time.
• The instrument should be cleaned thoroughly immediately after use to prevent the sample from drying up and blocking the flow hole.
