Overview
GR-5 single-layer Glass Reaction Kettle is an experimental equipment produced by GREATWALL, which is mainly used for material synthesis, distillation, condensing and other experiments. The kettle body of the equipment is a single-layer structure, which can work under normal and negative pressure conditions. The feeding is controlled by adjusting the constant pressure funnel, and the distillation is recovered by using a condenser.
Features
1. The kettle body is made of high borosilicate Glass 3.3, which has excellent physical and chemical performance.
2. Operating temperature range is wide, can be used in the range of -80 ℃ to 200 ℃.
3. Can work under normal pressure and negative pressure conditions, Vacuum Level can reach 0.095 MPa, and the pressure range in the kettle is -0.1 MPa to 0 MPa.
4. The plug or discharge valve made of Teflon + FV rubber and the "O" ring with TFE protective layer are used, which has good sealing performance.
5. Stirring system adopts mechanical sealing, push type Impeller, stirring shaft is stainless steel outer PTFE, corrosion resistance.
6. Equipped with a side discharge valve without liquid accumulation, which is convenient for material discharge.
7. The stirring motor adopts 90W frequency conversion speed regulation, Speed range is 50~ 500rpm, and the speed regulation is stable.
Principle
The single-layer Glass Reaction Kettle drives the Impeller by stirring the motor to mix the materials in the kettle evenly. During the experiment, the kettle can be pumped to a negative pressure state as needed. The material is evenly dripped into the kettle through a constant pressure funnel or a feeding port. The steam generated during the reaction is condensed and recovered after heat exchange by a condenser. By introducing circulating liquid or vacuuming into the interlayer of the kettle body (for double-decked or three-layer kettles), the temperature of the material in the kettle can be adjusted and kept warm. However, this model is a single-layer kettle, which mainly controls the temperature of the kettle body through an external heating/chill down device.
Applications
Material synthesis, distillation, condensing, etc
Steps
1. Check whether the interfaces of the equipment are tightly connected, especially the sealing parts.
2. According to the experimental requirements, pump the Reaction Kettle to the required negative pressure state through a vacuum pump.
3. Start the stirring motor and set the required stirring Rotation speed through the frequency converter.
4. Control the material to drop evenly into the Reaction Kettle through the constant pressure funnel or the regulating valve on the feeding bottle.
5. Open the condenser chilled down medium cycle, ready to recover distillation products.
6. After the reaction is completed, the material in the kettle is discharged through the side discharge valve.
7. Turn off all power and clean and maintain the equipment.
Notice
• Equipment Operating Pressure range is -0.1MPa (negative pressure) to normal pressure, it is strictly forbidden to use overpressure.
Temperature range is -80 ° C to 200 ° C to avoid drastic temperature changes to prevent Glass cracking.
• Make sure that all grinding joints are clean and apply an appropriate amount of vacuum grease to ensure sealing.
• Before stirring starts, confirm that the blade is not stuck and the material liquid level is higher than the Impeller blade.
When using a vacuum, it is necessary to check the airtightness of the entire system (including the kettle body, valves, and pipelines).
• When feeding, it needs to be slowly and evenly dripped through a constant pressure funnel or a regulating valve to avoid violent reactions.
• The power supply of the equipment is 220-240V~, 50/60HZ, and it is necessary to ensure good grounding.
• Avoid scraping Glass walls with sharp or hard tools when cleaning.
• Regularly check the abrasion of mechanical sealing and other components and replace them in time.
