Overview
JFL QFH-A600 cross-cut Tester is a test tool for the measurement of paint film adhesion performance by cross-cut method. The product uses carbide steel blades with high Hardness and Abrasion Resistance, and the cross-cut effect is complete, comparable to imported blades. As a Handheld tool, it is easy to carry and suitable for laboratories and various construction site environments.
Features
1. Carbide steel blade, High Hardness, Abrasion Resistance, Cross-cutting effect is complete.
2. Handheld design, easy to carry, suitable for a variety of environments.
3. It can achieve the same detection effect as imported good blades.
Principle
The QFH cross-cut Tester cuts the coating into lattice patterns and penetrates the coating with a specific specification tool. According to the pattern formed after cross-cutting, it is evaluated according to the six-level classification standard to judge the adhesion effect of the coating separated from the substrate, so as to evaluate its adhesion performance.
Applications
Organic coatings Cross-cut adhesion determination, Coatings, paints
Standards
ISOR1514、ISO2828
Steps
In accordance with ISOR1514 and ISO2828 provisions of the preparation sample.
2. Place the test piece on a flat hard plate.
3. Hold the handle of the cross-cut Tester so that the cutting knife is perpendicular to the plane of the test piece.
4. Cut at a speed of 20-50mm/s in a uniform pressure, smooth and non-vibrating manner.
5. The test piece swirl/spin 90 °, sexual repeability cut operation, to form a grid pattern.
6. Use a soft brush to gently brush forward and backward 5 times along the diagonal of the grid array.
7. Test at least three different positions of the test piece, if the results are inconsistent, increase the test point and record all the results.
8. When replacing the multi-blade cutting knife, use the screw driver to loosen the screw of the knife body, replace the new knife (the blade mouth is attached to the side of the handle) and then tighten the screw.
Notice
• Test environment should be temperature 23 +/- 2 ℃, relative humidity 50 +/- 5%.
• All incisions should penetrate the coating, but the cutting into the substrate should not be too deep.
• It is recommended to use the 600-1PK test special tape of 3M in the United States. After sticking the tape to the entire cross-cut area, tear it off at the smallest angle, and evaluate the result according to the proportion of the area to be glued off the paint film.
• If the coating is too thick or too hard, the cross-cut Tester cannot penetrate the substrate, the experiment is invalid.
