Overview
YONGLIDA QGZ_6, 12,24 Automatic coating film Drying time Recorder is a special instrument for measuring the drying time of paint film and putty film. It is equipped with multi-specification scribing, which can adapt to different thicknesses of coatings, and can accurately judge the drying state of coatings by automatic scratch trajectory.
Features
1. Equipped with 4 pins of different radii, with specifications of R0.25mm, R0.5mm, R1.0mm, R1.5mm, and wide applicability.
2. The sample size is highly compatible and supports samples of 200mm × 200mm × (0.2~ 3) mm.
3. The track period is 24 hours/lap, allowing for long-term, automated continuous testing.
Principle
The instrument drives the scribing needle to make a uniform circular motion on the surface of the sample coated with paint film or putty film. As time goes by, the coating gradually dries, and the scratch track left by the scribing needle on the surface will change. By observing or detecting the shape of the scratch (such as whether the coating is scratched, whether it produces debris, etc.), it is possible to determine the time required for the coating to reach different stages in drying such as surface drying and hard drying.
Applications
Determination of drying time of paint film, determination of drying time of putty film

Steps
1. According to the estimated thickness of the coating to be tested, select the appropriate scribing needle (R0.25/0.5/1.0/1) to install on the instrument.
2. Prepative a sample with a size of 200mm × 200mm and a thickness between 0.2 and 3mm, and fix it flat on the instrument test bench.
3. Start the instrument, and the scribing needle starts to make a circular trajectory movement on the surface of the coating to be tested.
4. The instrument is operated for a complete track period (24 hours), or observations are made during operation as required.
5. Observe the scratches left by the scribe on the coating, judge and record the time for the coating to reach a specific degree of drying according to the scratch state.
Notice
* Please select the appropriate needle specification according to the approximate thickness range of the coating to ensure the accuracy of the test results.
The specimen must be flat and fixed, and the size and thickness should meet the requirements of 200mm × 200mm × (0.2~ 3) mm.
The instrument runs for a track period of 24 hours. Please plan the time before testing.
* When observing scratches during the test, please pay attention to safety and avoid touching moving parts.
Please keep the instrument and pins clean to avoid affecting the test results.
