Overview
WRR visual Melting point meter is an instrument used to determine the melting point of substances under the brand of INESA. It uses visual methods to detect the initial and final melting points of samples, in line with the national pharmacopoeia regulations. The instrument uses silicone oil as the temperature transfer medium, which can measure three samples at the same time and calculate the average value, which is suitable for the determination of the melting point of dark samples.
Features
1. The initial and final melting points of the samples are detected by visual method, in line with the provisions of the National Pharmacopoeia
2. Using silicone oil as a temperature transfer medium, the temperature transfer effect is good
3. Simultaneous measurement of three samples to improve efficiency
4. Average values can be calculated to reduce errors
5. Suitable for melting point determination of dark samples
6. With a variety of heating rate options (0.5/1 0/1.5/3.0 ℃/min four gears)
7. LCD display, clear reading
8. Equipped with RS232/USB data interface for easy data transmission
Principle
The melting point of the sample is determined by heating the sample and observing the phase change process from solid state to liquid state. The instrument uses silicone oil as the temperature transfer medium to heat the sample at a controlled heating rate. The initial melting point and the final melting point are determined by visually observing the change of the sample state.
Applications
Drug testing, chemical analysis, material research, quality control
Standards
National Pharmacopoeia
Steps
1. Prepare capillary tubing samples (outer diameter φ 1.4mm, inner diameter φ 1.0mm, length 120mm)
2. Load the sample into capillary tubing, and the sample height is controlled at 3-5mm.
3. Place the capillary tubing into the instrument sample slot
4. Select the appropriate heating rate (0.5/1 0/1.5/3.0 ℃/min)
5. Start heating and visually observe the change of sample state
6. Record the initial and final melting points
7. Sexual repeability measurement of three samples and calculation of the average
Notice
• Power frequency 220V +/- 22V and frequency 50Hz +/- 1Hz before use
The sample height should be strictly controlled within the range of 3-5mm
• Choose the appropriate heating rate to ensure measurement accuracy
• Use capillary tubing that meets the specifications (outer diameter φ 1.4mm, inner diameter φ 1.0mm, length 120mm)
• Instrument operation temperature range is room temperature to 280 ℃
• Careful visual observation of sample state changes during measurement process
• Regularly check the status of the silicone oil medium to ensure the temperature transfer effect
• Instrument net weight 11kg, pay attention to safety when handling
