Overview
The SGW X-4B microscopic Melting point meter is a professional instrument of the INESA brand, mainly used to determine the melting point of substances, suitable for the analysis of crystalline organic compounds in the fields of chemical industry, Spinning & weaving, fuels, fragrances, etc. The instrument adopts Microscope observation method, supports capillary method and slide-coverslip method (hot table method), and is equipped with Draft Shield to reduce environmental interference.
Features
1. Support capillary method and hot table method for melting point determination.
2. Equipped with Draft Shield to reduce the impact of the environment on the test results.
3. Binocular stereo Microscope observation, magnification of 40X-100X zoom.
4. Wide temperature range, from room temperature to 320 ° C, resolution up to 0.1 ° C.
5. High repeability, +/- 1 ° C at ≤ 200 ° C and +/- 2 ° C at > 200 ° C.
Principle
The instrument controls the temperature rise through the heating system, and the user uses a Microscope to observe the change of the sample during the heating process. When the sample reaches the melting point, the crystal structure changes, and the melting point temperature is determined visually.
Applications
Chemicals, Spinning & weaving, Fuels, Flavors
Steps
1. To prepare the sample, you can choose the capillary method or the slide-coverslip method.
2. Place the sample on the instrument heating table.
3. Start the instrument and set the temperature parameters.
4. Observe sample changes through binocular Microscope.
5. Record the melting temperature of the sample as the melting point.
Notice
• Power frequency 220V +/- 22V, frequency 50Hz +/- 1Hz.
• Check whether the instrument is in good condition before use and avoid operating in a humid or strong electromagnetic interference environment.
• Pay attention to temperature control during testing to prevent overheating from damaging the sample or instrument.
• Regularly clean the Microscope and Heater to maintain instrument accuracy.
