Overview
Mattel MT-1B Portable Magnetic Particle Testing Equipment is a magnetic particle flaw detection device powered by a large-capacity lithium battery pack. It converts the battery DC into a magnetized power supply through frequency conversion inverter and signal phase shift processing, getting rid of the dependence on 220V fixed power supply, low power consumption, a single charge can work continuously for more than 4 hours, the battery supports online or offline charging, especially suitable for field flaw detection without power supply and aerial work.

Principle
The instrument uses a large-capacity lithium battery pack to provide direct current, which is converted into a magnetized power supply suitable for magnetic particle flaw detection through an internal frequency conversion inverter and signal phase shift processing circuit. The power supply drives the electromagnetic yoke to generate a magnetic field. When there is a surface or near-surface defect in the detected workpiece, the magnetic field lines will be distorted and form a leakage magnetic field, and the applied magnetic particles will be adsorbed to display the defect. Pulsating power supply technology enables the electromagnetic yoke to work continuously without intermittency.

Steps
1. Make sure the instrument has sufficient power and charge it if necessary.
2. Adjust the electromagnetic yoke pole distance (75-200mm range) according to the inspected workpiece.
3. Turn on the instrument and adjust the lighting luminance and output power according to the needs of the environment.
4. Place the electromagnetic yoke in the workpiece inspection area to ensure that the yoke is in good contact with the workpiece.
5. Start the magnetization function to magnetize the workpiece.
6. Apply magnetic particles (dry or wet) to the magnetized area and observe the aggregation of magnetic particles to judge defects.
7. After the test is completed, turn off the instrument, clean the equipment, and store it properly.

• Please check the battery power before use to ensure it is sufficient.
When operating, ensure that the electromagnetic yoke is in good contact with the workpiece to obtain an effective magnetic field.
• According to the actual testing environment and workpiece conditions, rationally adjust the lighting luminance, Power and yoke spacing.
• After the Continuous Operating Time of the instrument exceeds 4 hours, please check the battery status and charge it in time.
• Please use the matching charger when charging, and pay attention to the charging limit voltage.
• Do not use in flammable and explosive environments.
• The instrument and battery pack should avoid severe impact, high temperature or humid environment.
• Sensitivity calibration is performed regularly (e.g. using type A standard specimens) to ensure test performance.
