Overview
PN-48A whiteness Color Tester is a professional measuring instrument of PNSHAR brand. It is used to measure the whiteness, yellowness, Color and color difference of objects, as well as the Opacity, light scattering coefficient, light absorption coefficient and inks absorption value of paper. It is widely used in papermaking, printing, Spinning & weaving printing and dyeing, ceramic enamel, building materials, chemical industry, grain, salt making and other industries.
Features
1. Measure ISO whiteness (R457 whiteness), and can measure the fluorescence whiteness of fluorescent whitening samples.
2. Measure Lightness Stimulation Value Y10.
3. Opacity and transparency.
4. Measure the light scattering coefficient and absorption coefficient.
5. Support multiple measurements and calculate arithmetic averages.
6. Equipped with power-off protection function, key data can be preserved for a long time without loss.
7. Simulate D65 illumination body illumination, using CIE1964 supplementary chroma system and CIE1976 (L * a * b *) color space Color difference formula.
Principle
Standard light source is provided to illuminate the sample through the built-in integrating sphere and analog D65 illuminator, and the reflected light signal of the sample is received by the light Sensor, and calculated and analyzed according to the colorimetry system specified by CIE (such as CIE1964, CIE1976 L * a * b *), so as to obtain a series of Optical inspection parameters such as whiteness, chroma, and Opacity.
Applications
Paper, printing, Spinning & weaving, ceramic enamel, building materials, chemical industry, grain, salt

Steps
1. Turn on the power supply and warm up the instrument.
2. According to the measurement requirements, select the corresponding Measurement mode (such as whiteness, color difference, Opacity, etc.).
3. Carry out instrument zeroing and calibrating operations.
4. Place the specimen that meets the size requirements (test plane ≥ 30mm, thickness ≤ 40mm) on the test hole.
5. Start the measurement, the instrument automatically collects data and calculates.
6. Read or print the measurement results, if the average value can be obtained after multiple measurements.
7. After the measurement is completed, turn off the power.
Notice
• The working environment should keep the indoor temperature within the range of (20 +/- 10) ° C and the relative humidity below 85%.
• Ensure that the sample size meets the requirements: the diameter of the test plane is not less than 30mm, and the thickness is not more than 40mm.
• The instrument uses (100~ 240) VAC power supply, please pay attention to the voltage range.
• Avoid direct light on the instrument test port during operation, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments regularly to ensure Repeatability and Stability of measurement data.
The instrument is relatively heavy (about 13kg), so it is necessary to pay attention to safety when moving and placing it.
