Overview
The PN-TT1000 computer paper Tear tester is an electronic paper and Cardboard Tear Strength testing instrument developed according to the national standard GB/T 455 and ISO1974, mainly suitable for paper and low Basis Weight Cardboard. The instrument is a mechatronics product, designed with ergonomic design concepts and microprocessing technology, and is widely used in Universities & colleges, R & D institutions, Quality control departments, and paper printing Encasement production departments to test paper materials.
Features
1. Automated, electronic measurement;
2. Touchscreen display control;
3. Automatic release of pendulum, high test efficiency;
4. Perform data statistics with one click;
5. With RS232 serial port, it can be connected to a PC (the data receiving software for connecting to a PC can be purchased separately);
6. Built-in Printer, after testing the batch data, the test report can be directly printed.
Principle
Tear Strength is the physical index of the mechanical strength of paper and Cardboard. It refers to the average force required to tear the pre-cut sample to a certain length, in milliNewtons (mN). Basic principle: First accurately cut a number of sheets with a size of 63mm × 50mm to be tested. Raise the pendulum to a certain height to make it have a certain potential energy, place the 63mm width in the direction of Tear Strength, and clamp the sample; when the pendulum is free to pendulum, use its own stored energy to tear the sample. Here the sample should have a pre-cut with a cut length of 20cm, so as to ensure that the tear distance is 43mm.
Applications
Universities & colleges, R & D institutions, Quality control departments, paper printing Encasement production departments
Standards
GB/T 455、QB/T 1050、ISO 1974、TAPPI T414、JIS P8116
Steps
1. Accurately cut several sheets of samples to be tested with a size of 63mm x 50mm.
2. Raise the pendulum to a certain height so that it has potential energy.
3. Align the 63mm width of the specimen in the direction of tearing and clamp it on the instrument.
4. Automatically release the pendulum, allowing it to swing freely and use its own energy to tear the specimen.
5. The instrument automatically measures and records the tearing force data.
6. Data statistics can be performed through Touchscreen, and test reports can be printed using the Built-in Printer.
Notice
• The specimen should be pre-cut with a length of 20 +/- 0.5mm.
• Make sure the specimen is torn at a distance of 43mm.
• Please confirm that the power supply is AC 220V +/- 10% 50Hz before use.
When connecting to a PC for data transmission, you need to purchase a separate data reception software.
• Please pay attention to safety when operating to avoid damage caused by accidental release of the pendulum.
