American Defelsko AB Adhesive ATADHESIVEKIT is an accessory test glue specially designed for PosiTest AT Pull Adhesion Tester, made of epoxy resin material, used for bonding kits and coatings in adhesion testing.

Principle
The AB adhesive as an adhesive, the test kit firmly adhered to the surface of the coating before adhesion testing, to ensure that the subsequent pull-off test, the force can be effectively transmitted to the coating interface, so as to accurately measure adhesion.
Steps
1. kit preparation: remove the oxides and dirt at the bottom of the kit, rub it on the ground pad 4-5 times, and then wipe it with a dry cloth or paper towel.
2. Preparation of coating: Gently test the coating surface with a grinding pad, and then wipe off the oil and dust on the coating surface with alcohol or acetone.
3. Adhesive kit: Apply the well-stirred adhesive evenly to the bottom of the kit (thickness about 50-100 microns), and stick the kit to the test area of the coating under test. For vertical or downward coated surfaces, keep the kit fixed during the solidification of the adhesive. Gently press down on the kit to extrude excess adhesive, avoiding swirl/spin and sliding back and forth to prevent bubbles. Finally, carefully wipe off the excess adhesive on the edges of the kit with a cotton swab.
Notice
• Make sure that the surface of the kit and coating is clean and free of oil before bonding.
• The thickness of the adhesive applied should be controlled at about 50-100 microns.
• Avoid swirling/spinning or sliding the kit back and forth when bonding to prevent bubbles from affecting the bonding strength.
• If the coating surface is vertical or downward, the kit must be fixed during the solidification of the adhesive.
• After bonding, the excess adhesive on the edge of the kit should be removed in time.
