Overview
IMT IMT-HSIU4 is a professional instrument used to test the surface strength of paper. Paper surface strength refers to the bonding strength between paper surface fibers, adhesives, fillers or coatings and paper substrates, which is directly related to the paper's ability to resist the splitting force of inks during the printing process. By simulating the printing process, the instrument helps papermakers combine test data, adjust production processes, and optimize costs while meeting mass requirements.
Features
1. The ink leveling speed can be adjusted in three gears, providing three options of 60, 100, and 140rpm to adapt to different test requirements.
2. The core components are designed with precision, the size of the moving main disk is φ 118 × 80mm, the size of the rubber roller is φ 60 × 70mm, and the size of the auxiliary disk is φ 75 × 80mm.
3. The power of the host is 200w to ensure stable operation.
The instrument is compact in shape and measures 330 * 390 * 430mm, saving space.
Principle
The instrument simulates the ink disbonding effect during printing by driving the rubber roller to perform uniform ink movement on the moving main disk and the auxiliary disk at a set speed. By observing and evaluating the changes of the paper surface after testing (such as Picking, blistering, coating disbonding, etc.), Basis Weight or qualitatively analyze the ability of the paper surface to resist the ink splitting force, that is, its surface strength.
Applications
Printability testing, paper mass research and control
Steps
1. Prepare the paper sample to be tested and secure it properly.
2. According to the test requirements, set the appropriate ink leveling speed (60, 100 or 140 rpm) on the instrument.
3. Start the instrument and make the rubber roller run on the moving main plate and auxiliary plate to complete the ink leveling process.
4. After the test, take out the sample, observe and record the change of the paper surface.
5. Combined with Miscellaneous test data (e.g. data from printability testers, surface strength testers) for analysis.
Notice
• Before operation, please ensure that the instrument is placed smoothly and the power supply is connected correctly.
• Choose the appropriate ink leveling speed according to different paper types and test purposes.
During the test, please observe the operating status of the instrument to ensure safety.
• Regularly clean and maintain the moving parts of the instrument to ensure the accuracy of test results.
• Please use it strictly in accordance with the operating procedures. Non-professionals should not disassemble or adjust the internal structure of the instrument without authorization.
