SBDY-1 digital whiteness meter is a precision instrument for measuring the whiteness of objects. Measurement range covers 0~ 100%, Precision up to 0.1. The instrument adopts simple light path and reasonable structure design to ensure measurement accuracy and Stability.

Principle
Under D65 Illuminant, using 45/0 (45-degree annular illumination, 0-degree observation) illumination conditions, according to the R457 blue light whiteness formula, the whiteness value of the Basis Weight is characterized by measuring the reflectance of the sample to specific wavelengths of blue light.

Standards
Transfer correction value according to national calibration whiteboard
Steps
1. Turn on the 220V +/- 10% power supply and turn it on to warm up.
2. Use the national calibration whiteboard to calibrate the instrument.
3. Place the sample to be tested on the movable platform under the measurement hole.
4. Operate the instrument for measurement, and display the whiteness value on the digital or LCD screen.
5. For SBDY-1P/SBDY-3P models, the printer can be connected to output data through the RS-232 interface.
Notice
• Ensure the Operating Environment Power Supply is 220V +/- 10%.
• The instrument is preheated and stabilized for calibrating and measurement.
• The calibrated standard whiteboard must be used.
• When placing the sample, make sure to completely cover the φ 30mm measurement aperture to avoid light leakage.
• Maintain the light path system regularly to keep it clean.
• Note the instrument indication Stability requirements (≤ 0.2/10 min) and zero drift (≤ 0.1/10 min).
