Principle
The instrument uses the platinum plate method and the platinum ring method for measurement. Platinum plate method: When the platinum plate is immersed in the measured liquid, the surface tension of the liquid will pull the platinum plate down. When the relevant force and the equilibrate force reach equilibrium, the instrument measures the immersion depth through the equilibrate sensor and converts it into the surface tension value of the liquid to display. Platinum ring method: The platinum ring is immersed in the liquid and slowly lifted. When the ring and the liquid surface are separated, the maximum force value is sensed. The value can be converted into the surface tension value after calculation.

Steps
1. Gradually immerse the platinum plate in the liquid.

• Platinum ring method requires additional purchase.
• When using the platinum ring method, the surface tension value needs to be calculated through the included calculation software or data processing software.
• The instrument has a one-click reset function, and it is necessary to ensure that the zero position is stable during operation.
• Measurement of low viscosity sample solution usually takes 3-5 seconds in automatic operation mode.
• If you need to test in the Temperature range of 0~ 100 ℃, you need to choose a Glass clip cup and an external Thermostatic bath.
