Overview

Based on the ultrasonic measurement principle, it can measure the thickness of high temperature resistant cast iron, steel and other materials, and supports Speed of sound measurement. It is widely used in plate, pipe wall thickness, boiler container wall thickness, plastic products, ceramic parts, Glass ware and various pipes and Pressure Vessel thickness measurement and corrosion thinning monitoring.

Principle
Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge BT-160 works based on the ultrasonic measurement principle. The instrument emits ultrasonic pulses to the material under test through the Probe, which propagate inside the material and reflect back to the Probe at another interface, such as the back. The instrument measures the time for ultrasonic waves to travel back and forth in the material, and combines the known Speed of sound in the material to calculate the thickness of the material. The instrument supports reverse measurement of Speed of sound through known thicknesses to improve the accuracy of measurement of different materials.
