Overview
LS223 Coating thickness gauge is a multifunctional Coating thickness measuring instrument. It can be used for the measurement of nonmagnetic coatings (such as Coating, varnish, enamel, chromium, galvanized layer) on ferromagnetic metal substrates such as steel, and can also be used for the measurement of nonconductive coatings (such as Coating, anodic oxidation layer, ceramic) on nonmagnetic metal substrates such as copper, aluminum, die-cast zinc, brass, etc. The instrument has the function of automatically identifying the substrate type and automatically switching the Measurement mode, and is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other fields.
Features
1. No need to calibrate, just zero.
2. Press the button separately, the operation is very simple.
3. Fast measurement, 0.5 seconds to complete a measurement.
4. Ultra-large range test, with a maximum thickness of 5mm.
5. The Abrasion Resistance of the ruby probe guarantees the long-term and effective use of the instrument.
6. Iron aluminum dual-use Probe, automatic identification of measurement matrix, can be quickly and automatically converted.
7. "Fe", "NFe", "Fe/NFe" Measurement mode can be set.
8. The thickness of the nonmagnetic coating layer on the magnetic metal substrate such as steel can be measured, and the thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the nonmagnetic metal substrate such as copper and aluminum can be measured.
9. Using professional digital Probe technology, digital signal processing is done directly on Probe, Probe is not easily disturbed and provides excellent Test accuracy. Even if the temperature change does not affect the measurement, the reading remains stable to ensure very good Repeatability throughout the measurement process.
Principle
LS223 Coating thickness gauge adopts Hall effect and eddy Current Measurement principles. For nonmagnetic coatings on ferromagnetic metal substrates, the magnetic method based on Hall effect is used for measurement; for nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic metal substrates, the eddy current method based on the eddy Current principle is used for measurement. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type and switches the corresponding Measurement mode through Probe.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection
Standards
GB/T4956-2003、GB/T4957-2003、DIN ENISO2808、JJG-818-2005
Steps
1. According to the measurement requirements, set the Measurement mode of the instrument ("Fe", "NFe" or "Fe/NFe").
2. Zero operation on the substrate to be tested (without coating).
3. Place Probe vertically on the surface of the coating to be tested for measurement.
Notice
• Zero on the uncoated substrate before measurement.
• Keep the Probe perpendicular to the coating surface during measurement.
• The minimum diameter of the measurement surface is φ 25mm.
• When measuring the curved surface, pay attention to the minimum curvature radius requirements (convex 5mm, concave 25mm).
• The thickness of the substrate needs to meet the requirements (the thinnest ferromagnetic substrate is 0.2mm, and the thinnest nonmagnetic substrate is 0.05mm).
• Instrument Ambient Temperature 0~ 50 ℃, Storage Temperature -20~ 60 ℃.
• Please use 2 1.5V AA alkaline batteries for power supply.
