Overview
The KU-2 Stormer Viscometer is a professional test instrument under the JINGTIAN brand. It is dedicated to measuring the viscosity of paints, coatings and other fluids. The main display unit is Krebs units (KU values). The instrument uses a 16-bit microprocessor core control circuit. The paddle rotor swirls/spins at a constant Rotation speed of 200 rpm. Through measurement of its resistance moment in the fluid, it is directly converted into KU values, gram units (gm) and centipoise (cP) values, and is cycled on the blue backlit LCD screen.

Principle
When the instrument is working, the paddle rotor swirls/spins in the measured fluid at a constant Rotation speed of 200 rpm. The fluid resistance moment to the rotor is detected by the Sensor and calculated according to the ASTM D562 standard by the built-in microprocessor core control circuit. The resistance moment is converted into a viscosity value expressed in Krebs units (KU), which can also be converted and displayed as gram units (gm) and centipoise (cP) values.

Steps
1. Connect the dedicated Power Adapter and turn on the power supply.
2. Place the tested sample in a suitable container.
3. Adjust the height of the instrument through the knob lifting mechanism, so that the paddle rotor is immersed in the sample to a specified depth.
4. Start the instrument and the paddle rotor starts swirling/spinning at 200rpm.
5. Read the viscosity value of KU, GM or cP units on the LCD screen through the function keys.
Notice
* Please use the instrument's dedicated Power Adapter (input 100~ 240V, 50~ 60Hz).
Make sure the paddle rotors are clean and thoroughly cleaned before each measurement to prevent cross-contamination of samples.
When operating the lift knob, the action should be smooth to ensure that the rotor immersion depth is accurate and consistent.
* Measurement range of the instrument is 40~ 141KU, please ensure that the viscosity of the tested sample is within this range to obtain accurate results.
* The instrument should be placed on a stable working table to avoid vibration affecting the Measurement accuracy.
* Do not use and store this instrument in a humid, dusty or corrosive gas environment.
