Overview
The STM-IV Stormer Viscometer is a professional test instrument under the JINGTIAN brand. It is dedicated to measuring the viscosity of paints, coatings and other fluids. Its measurement results are expressed in Krebs units (KU values). The instrument is equipped with a blue backlit LCD screen, which can cycle through the function keys to display the viscosity values in KU, gram units (gm) and centipoise (cP) units.

Adopting a 16-bit microprocessor core control circuit, it is highly intelligent.

Equipped with a dedicated Power Adapter, it supports wide voltage input (100~ 240V, 50~ 60Hz).

Principle
When the instrument is working, its paddle rotor swirls/spins in the measured fluid at a constant speed of 200 rpm. The fluid resistance moment received by the rotor swirl/spin is collected and processed by the built-in computer system, and converted into KU value according to relevant standards, and finally displayed directly on the LCD screen.

Steps
1. Connect the dedicated Power Adapter and turn on the power supply.
2. Place the tested sample in a suitable container.
3. Through the knob lifting mechanism, immerse the paddle rotor into the sample to a specified depth.
4. Start the instrument and the rotor starts swirling/spinning at 200rpm.
5. Select and read the desired viscosity value (KU, GM, or cP) on the display through the function keys.
Notice
• Please use the dedicated Power Adapter that comes with the instrument.
• Ensure that the power input voltage is within the range of 100 to 240V calibrated by the adapter.
• Please follow the correct use of the knob lift when operating.
• Before measurement, confirm that the sample condition and container meet the test requirements.
Measurement range of the instrument is 40~ 141KU, please do not use beyond the range.
• To ensure measurement accuracy, calibrate and maintain the instrument regularly.
