The VUT620A ultrasonic flaw detection (UFD) instrument emits ultrasonic pulses into the workpiece through the Probe. Reflections occur when ultrasonic waves propagate through the workpiece and encounter defects (such as crazing, pores) or interfaces. The instrument receives these reflection echoes, and after high-speed ADC sampling and digital signal processing, the waveform is displayed on the true-color LCD screen. By analyzing the position, amplitude and other information of the echoes, defects inside the workpiece can be located, evaluated and diagnosed.
