The instrument works through the principle of ultrasonic flaw detection (UFD). The instrument generates high-frequency electrical pulses that excite the Probe to generate ultrasonic waves and pass them into the workpiece under test. When ultrasonic waves propagate inside the workpiece and encounter defects (such as crazing, pores) or interfaces, physical phenomena such as reflection and refraction occur. The instrument receives and processes these echo signals, displays the waveform in real time through an all-digital true color display, and uses built-in algorithms to locate defects, Basis Weight (such as calculating equivalent size, dB value) and qualitative evaluation, so as to realize nondestructive detection and diagnosis of internal defects in the workpiece.
