This product is an RDS brand 4 #3/8 "open type Applicator rod, which is a wire-wound drawdown bar with an effective application width of 30cm and a preparatory wet film thickness of 9.1 μm. The open type bar is a special process coating rod, which is suitable for processing higher viscosity coatings, which can reduce clogging and eliminate stitches.

Principle
The open bar forms wide and shallow grooves on the rod body through spaced surrounding wires. This design allows for better flow of higher viscosity coatings through, reducing clogging of coatings on the rod body and helping to eliminate stitches after Spreader. Smaller wire diameters create less discontinuity in the Coating flow, allowing the Coatings to soak and spread more completely.

Steps
1. Ensure that the coating rod and substrate are clean.
2. Coating an appropriate amount on one end of the substrate.
3. Hold both ends of the coating rod to spread the coating scraping at a stable and uniform speed and pressure.
4. Spreader, clean the coating rod in time.

* This product is an open bar, although suitable for high viscosity Coatings, but the durability may not be as good as the double winding rod.
* Please clean thoroughly immediately after use to prevent the coating from drying up and blocking the groove.
* Maintain uniform scraping speed and pressure during operation to obtain consistent wet film thickness.
