Overview
ROSS folding test machine (model: ASR-7127) is a device used for right-angle folding test of Rubber, sole, PU and other materials. After the test piece is continuously stretched and bent, its attenuation, damage and checking degree can be inspected.
Features
1. Equipped with 6 sets of fixtures, multiple sets of tests can be performed simultaneously.
2. Using an LCD counter, the counting range is 0 to 999999.
3. The maximum folding angle can reach 90 °, the folding speed is 100 +/- 3cpm, and the test conditions are stable.
4. Suitable for a variety of Film thickness specifications.
Principle
The testing machine makes the clamped test piece repeatedly expand and bend at a set angle (maximum 90 °) by driving the fixture to reciprocate. During this process, the material is constantly subjected to alternating stress, which simulates the buckling fatigue in actual use. Finally, the test piece is evaluated by observing the attenuation, damage and checking of the test piece. Its folding performance is evaluated.
Applications
Right Angle Bending Test of Rubber, Sole, PU and Other Materials
Standards
ASTM-D1052、ISO5423、4643
Steps
1. Prepare test pieces that meet the size requirements according to the type of material (e.g. sole or rubber).
2. Install the test piece correctly in the fixture.
3. Set up and start the testing machine, and the machine will fold back and forth at the set speed (100 +/- 3cpm) and angle.
4. Monitor the number of trials through an LCD counter.
5. Stop when the test reaches the set number of times or the test piece is significantly damaged.
6. Remove the test piece and check the degree of attenuation, damage and checking.
Notice
• Ensure that the power supply voltage is 1∮, AC220V, and check the line safety.
• When installing the test piece, ensure it is firmly clamped to prevent loosening during the test.
• Pay attention to the thickness specifications of the test piece: the sole should be approximately 0.25″, while rubber should be between 1/2″ and 1/8″.
• Do not insert hands or any objects into the moving parts area while the equipment is in operation.
• Regularly maintain and inspect the equipment to ensure operational accuracy.
• Evaluation of test results should be conducted in accordance with relevant standards.
