Overview
The HCH-3000F Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a professional nondestructive testing instrument that integrates contemporary electronic technology and measurement technology. It is suitable for the measurement of the thickness of good ultrasonic conductors such as metals, plastics, ceramics, Glass, etc. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace and other fields, and can be used to monitor the degree of thinning of pipelines and Pressure Vessels due to corrosion in production equipment. Compared with the previous generation, the new HCH-3 series adds functions such as gain automatic adjustment, limit alarm, and data transmission.
Features
1. Automatically identify the standard Probe or manually set the Probe.
2. The resolution is 0.01 mm.
3. Speed of sound calibrated (reverse measurement Speed of sound) or single point Adjustment.
4. With alarm function, the upper/lower limit of thickness measurement can be set.
5. Up to 600 readings can be stored in groups.
6. The data output can be printed through the serial output port.
7. Adopt 6-key dustproof and oil-proof keyboard.
8. With coupling status display function.
9. Support a variety of optional Accessories, such as High Temperature Probes, cast iron probes, etc.
Principle
The instrument works on the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection. When the ultrasonic pulse emitted by Probe reaches the inside of the material under test through the coupler, reflection occurs when it encounters the bottom surface of the material or the defect interface. The instrument calculates the thickness of the material by measuring the time it takes for ultrasonic waves to travel back and forth through the material, combined with the known Speed of sound.
Applications
Petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, aviation, aerospace
Steps
1. Select the appropriate Probe according to the tested material and connect it correctly.
2. When turned on, the instrument can automatically identify the standard Probe or manually set the Probe parameters.
3. Apply a coupling agent to the surface to be tested to ensure that the Probe is well coupled to the tested piece (observe the coupling status icon in the upper left corner).
4. Speed of sound calibrating or single point calibrating as required.
5. Place the Probe smoothly at the measurement point for measurement and read the thickness value on the display screen.
6. If you need to store measurement data, you can store it manually.
7. After the measurement is completed, the printer output data can be connected through the serial output port.
Notice
• Make sure the surface to be tested is clean before measurement, and apply a sufficient amount of coupling agent to ensure good acoustic conduction.
• Probes need to be in vertical and steady contact with the tested surface to obtain accurate readings.
• Note that the working ambient temperature range of the instrument is -10 ° C to 60 ° C, and the relative humidity should be less than 90% RH.
• The instrument will automatically shut down after five minutes of standby to save power.
• According to different measurement requirements (such as high temperature, small pipe diameter, cast iron material), the corresponding special Probe Accessories can be selected.
• Please use the designated 2 AA batteries for power supply.
