The HCH-3000E-E High Accuracy Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge is a smart Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge that integrates transmit-echo mode and echo-echo mode. Principle
The Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge uses the principle of ultrasonic pulse reflection for measurement. In standard mode, Probe emits ultrasonic pulses to the material under test, and the pulses reach the bottom surface of the material and are reflected back. The instrument calculates the thickness of the material by calculating the time difference between the emitted and received echoes, combined with the known Speed of sound. In coating mode, the instrument uses echo-echo technology to calculate the net thickness of the substrate by measuring the time difference between two consecutive echoes inside the material, eliminating the need to remove surface coatings.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate Probe according to the measurement requirements and connect it.
2. When turned on, the instrument will automatically identify the Probe.
3. Measurement mode (standard mode or coating mode) is selected according to the tested material.
4. If necessary, Speed of sound calibrating or reverse measurement Speed of sound.
5. Coupling the Probe to the surface of the material under test.
6. Measured values are read and recorded, and data can be stored manually.
7. Specific measurements can be made using Difference Mode, MIN Minimum Scan Mode or Alarm Function.
8. After the measurement is completed, it can communicate with the PC through the Interface or print out.
Notice
* Measurement range is affected by the Probe used, the material measured and the surface condition, the standard mode is 0.8~ 500mm, and the coating mode is 3.0~ 20mm.
Make sure the Probe is well coupled to the surface under test for accurate readings.
* Note Ambient Temperature -10~ 60 ℃, relative humidity < 90% RH.
* Powered by 2 AA batteries, please pay attention to the power.
* The measurement error is related to resolution and thickness, please select the appropriate setting according to the accuracy requirements.
