The MC-2000C coating platings thickness gauge uses electromagnetic induction (magnetic thickness measurement method) to measure the thickness of coating platings. The instrument Probe generates a closed magnetic loop on the surface of the part. When the thickness of the coating platings between the Probe and the ferromagnetic substrate changes, the distance between the Probe and the substrate changes accordingly, resulting in changes in the magnetoresistance of the magnetic loop and the Inductance of the Probe coil. By accurately measuring this change, the thickness of the coated platings can be calculated.
