Overview
The AISRY ASR-5622C two-station dye fastness testing machine is used to evaluate the dyeing and friction fastness grade of materials. The device rubs the colored specimen with a set load and number of times by fixing a dried or wet cotton cloth to the surface of the friction hammer, and then grades it against a grey standard. The machine can also be used for friction testing of organic solvents and has a power-off memory function.
Features
1. Double-station design allows two sets of tests to be conducted simultaneously.
2. Equipped with power-off memory function to ensure that test data is not lost.
3. Suitable for dry friction, wet friction and organic solvent friction test.
4. Using an LCD counter, the counting range is 0 to 999,999.
5. The friction hammer load and auxiliary load can be adjusted to meet the requirements of different test standards.
Principle
The testing machine drives the friction hammer to reciprocate in a straight line through the motor. The specified size of white cotton cloth is parcelled on the surface of the friction hammer, and the set load (friction hammer load and auxiliary load) is applied to the sample. The friction hammer repeatedly rubs the surface of the sample at a fixed speed (30CPM) and stroke (100mm). After a certain number of rubs, by observing the degree of staining of the white cotton cloth, the degree of dyeing friction fastness of the sample is evaluated against the gray standard.
Applications
Spinning & weaving dye fastness test, leather products colour fastness test, organic solvent friction test
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria.
Steps
1. Cut the sample and white cotton cloth of the specified size.
2. Fix the specimen flat on the specimen bench.
3. The white cotton cloth (dry or according to the provisions of wetting) parcel and fixed to the friction hammer surface.
4. Set the number of frictions according to the test requirements.
5. Start the machine and the friction hammer starts to rub back and forth.
6. After reaching the set number of times, the machine automatically stops.
7. Remove the white cotton cloth and evaluate the staining grade against the gray standard.
Notice
• Power supply voltage meets requirements (AC220V 50Hz) before use.
• When installing the sample and white cotton cloth, it should be flat and wrinkle-free to ensure uniform contact surface.
• When conducting wet friction test, it is necessary to wetting white cotton cloth according to the specified method and control the moisture content.
• Regularly clean the friction hammer and sample stage to prevent residual dyestuff or solvents from affecting the test results.
• Do not touch moving parts when the machine is running.
• When not in use for a long time, please disconnect the power supply.
