Overview
This machine is DuPont Impact Tester, which is suitable for testing the fastness of plastics, Pottery and porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass and other materials and test coatings. The principle is to use a steel ball with a specified weight to adjust to a certain height to freely drop the sample to evaluate the degree of damage to the material.
Features
1. Suitable for a variety of materials, such as plastic, Pottery and porcelain, acrylic, fiberglass and Coatings.
2. Designed according to many international standards, it meets the requirements of JIS-K5600 (Coating), ASTM-D2794, JIS-K5400 and other standards.
3. Equipped with a variety of specifications of Impact head and weight to adapt to different testing needs.
4. The height of the falling ball is adjustable, and the test range is wide.
Principle
The working principle of this instrument is to adjust the specified weight of the steel ball to a preset height, so that it can fall freely and perpendicular to the surface of the impact sample. Impact performance or adhesion and fastness of the coating can be determined by observing and evaluating the degree of damage (such as crazing, flaking, etc.) after the sample is impacted.
Applications
Plastic industry, Pottery and porcelain industry, acrylic products, fiberglass composites, Coatings testing
Standards
JIS-K5600 (Coating), ASTM-D2794, JIS-K5400
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate Impact head radius and weight weight according to the test criteria.
2. Place the specimen firmly on the Impact platform.
3. Manually set and adjust the falling height of the steel ball.
4. Release the steel ball so that it falls freely on the Impact specimen.
5. Remove the sample, observe and evaluate the degree of damage.
Notice
• Please ensure that the instrument is placed smoothly before operation, and be familiar with the equipment specifications and operation procedures.
• According to the test materials and standards, correctly select the radius, weight weight and drop height of the impact head.
When placing the sample, ensure that it is stable and flat to avoid displacement during the test.
When releasing the steel ball, the operator should pay attention to safety and avoid being injured by falling steel balls or flying debris.
• Regularly check the integrity of various components of the equipment (such as steel balls, Impact heads, lifting mechanisms) to ensure test accuracy.
• After the test is completed, please return the weight, steel ball and other components and keep the equipment clean.
