Overview
The AISRY ASR-5750 Linear Abrasion Instrument is a test device used to evaluate product Abrasion Resistance, Scratch Resistance (single or multiple scratches) and Color Transmission (such as friction decolorization or friction fastness). The instrument is suitable for dry and wet abrasion testing, and can test samples of various sizes and shapes. It is especially good at testing the abrasion performance of products with contoured surfaces and polished surface characteristics.
Features
1. Parameters such as moving distance, rotational speed, number of revolutions, and load can be set.
2. A variety of different abrasion media and accessories can be selected for damage testing, alcohol resistance testing, coin scratch resistance and other tests.
3. Five optional moving distances are available: 0.5 inches, 1 inch, 2 inches, 3 inches, and 4 inches, and special moving distances can be customized.
4. The number of test revolutions can be set, up to 999,999 revolutions.
5. Provide adjustable traverse speed from 2 to 60 roundtrip/minute, of which 2, 15, 30, 40 and 60 roundtrip/minute are standard speed measurements, and the maximum traverse speed is 60 roundtrip/minute.
6. Optional load, standard configuration includes measuring rod 350 grams and three 250 grams disc weight, and can be customized for various weight weights.
Principle
The instrument performs linear reciprocating friction motion on the surface of the sample through a grinding head (usually a high-mass abrasion material in the shape of an eraser at the end of a pencil). The user can preset the moving distance, speed, number of cycles and applied load to simulate the actual use of abrasion and scratching conditions, so as to evaluate the wear resistance, scratch resistance and color transfer resistance of the sample.
Applications
Plastics, Auto Parts, Rubber, Leather and Spinning & Weaving, Eletroplating, Free Removal Components, Lacquer, Printing Patterns
Standards
ASTM D3884, ASTM D1175, ASTM D1044, ASTM D4060, TAPPI T476, ISO9352, ISO5470-1, JIS K7204, JSA1453, JIS K6902, JIS L1096, JIS K6964, DIN52347, DIN53109, DIN53754, DIN53799, CE standards
Steps
1. According to the testing requirements, select the appropriate grinding head and accessories (e.g. sample fixing table) and install them.
2. Fix the sample on the test bench.
3. Set the required test parameters through the instrument control panel, including travel distance, traverse speed (round trip/minute), test revolutions, and load (by adding or reducing weight adjustment).
4. Start the instrument and start the test.
5. After the test reaches the preset number of revolutions, it will automatically stop to observe and evaluate the abrasion, scratching or Color transfer of the sample.
6. During the test, if the abrasion of the grinding head (eraser) is serious, it needs to be replaced in time to ensure the test Stability.
Notice
• Before the test, please select and install the grinding head, weight and Miscellaneous accessories correctly according to the test standards and requirements.
When setting the number of test revolutions, it should be noted that during the test process of reaching a high number of revolutions (e.g. close to 999, 999 revolutions), the grinding head (eraser) may need to be replaced due to abrasion.
• The speeds of 2, 15, 30, 40 and 60 round trips/minute provided by the instrument are standard speed measurements and can be used for reference when selecting.
• The standard load configuration is 350 grams plus 3 250 grams of weight. If Miscellaneous load is required, the corresponding weight should be customized.
• Instruments comply with CE standards and carry CE safety marks, and operate in accordance with relevant electrical safety regulations.
• After the test, clean the instrument and test area in time, and keep the weight and accessories properly.
