Overview
KODIN-6DJ Holiday Detector is a new intelligent pulse high voltage instrument launched by KODIN, which is dedicated to detecting the mass of metal anti-corrosion coatings. The instrument adopts high anti-interference intelligent chip, LCD screen and digitalization control circuit, high voltage output is accurate, and can automatically match the appropriate measurement voltage according to the coating material and thickness. The operation is intelligent and user-friendly. It can effectively detect pinholing, bubbles, cracks and other defects in coatings through sound and light alarm and leak point counting. It is especially suitable for field operations because of its nickel-metal hydride battery power supply, small size and light weight.
Features
1. Using high anti-interference smart chip, LCD screen and digitalization control circuit, high voltage output is accurate (+/- 0.1kv + 3% reading).
2. The appropriate measurement voltage can be automatically output according to the material and thickness of the anti-corrosion coating.
3. The menu operation is intelligent and user-friendly.
4. When coating defects are detected, a bright spark is emitted, and the sound and light alarm is issued, and the leakage point is counted (maximum 999).
5. Ni-MH battery power supply, small size, light weight, especially suitable for field operations.
6. Professional design, stable and reliable.
7. Equipped with 128 * 64 point matrix LCD with backlight display, the display is clear.
8. Support manual shutdown and automatic shutdown modes.
9. The battery can be used continuously for more than 12 hours under the maximum voltage.
Principle
The instrument is a special instrument for detecting the mass of metal anti-corrosion coatings. When working, the instrument generates a pulsed high voltage, which is applied to the surface of the coating under test through Probe. When the anti-corrosion coating is intact, the coating acts as an insulator to prevent current from passing through; when the coating has mass defects such as pinholing, bubbles, cracks or crazing, the high voltage will break through the air gap at the defect, generating bright sparks. The instrument triggers sound and light alarms at the same time, and counts the detected leakage points.
Applications
Chemical, petroleum, rubber, enamel industries
Steps
1. Connect the ground wire to the metal substrate under test to ensure good contact.
2. According to the material and thickness of the anti-corrosion coating to be tested, set in the instrument menu or automatically match the appropriate detection voltage by the instrument (range 0.6KV~ 30KV).
3. Turn on the instrument power supply, hold the Probe, keep the Probe at an appropriate distance from the coating surface and move the scan at a uniform speed.
4. When coating defects (leakage points) are detected, the instrument will spark, accompanied by sound and light alarms, and automatically count.
5. After the detection is completed, you can check the leak point count and shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown as needed.
Notice
Before use, make sure that the grounding wire is firmly connected to the metal substrate under test.
• Select the appropriate detection voltage according to the coating thickness to avoid damage to the intact coating due to high voltage or low voltage to detect defects.
• Probe should be kept at a constant speed and at an appropriate distance from the coating surface to ensure the detection effect.
• When the instrument alarms, please pay attention to observe the spark position and accurately mark the leakage point.
• Please use it under the environment conditions specified by the instrument to avoid long-term work in extremely humid, dusty or corrosive gas environments.
• Please use the original adapter when charging (input AC 100-240V, output 12.6V 1A).
• When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to charge and discharge the battery regularly for maintenance.
• There is a fuse (1A) inside the instrument, non-professionals should not disassemble and repair it by themselves.
