Overview
The IPRE D Impact device is a professional hardness testing equipment with an Impact energy of 11mJ, an Impact device mass of 75g, a ball head made of tungsten carbide material, a diameter of 3mm, and a Hardness of 1600HV. The device is suitable for a variety of hardness of materials measurement. Indication Error is +/- 6HLD or +/- 10HLD, and indication Repeatability is 6HLD or 10HLD.
Features
1. Impact energy is 11mJ to ensure test accuracy; 2. Ball head material is tungsten carbide, Hardness up to 1600HV, Abrasion Resistance; 3. Impact device mass 75g, lightweight design; 4. Indication Error and Repeatability meet standard requirements; 5. Support a variety of specimen weight and thickness measurement.
Principle
The D-type Impact device acts on the surface of the specimen through the impact energy, and the ball head generates a Crain during the impact process. The Hardness value is calculated according to the diameter or depth of the Crain. The device uses a standard Richter Hardness block to calibrate to ensure the Reliability of the measurement results.
Applications
Hardness testing, material testing, quality control
Standards
Standard Richter Hardness Block Hardness: 760 +/- 30HLD, 530 +/- 40HLD
Steps
1. Prepare the specimen to ensure that the surface roughness does not exceed 1.6 μm; 2. Select the support method according to the weight of the specimen: direct measurement (> 5kg), stable support (2-5kg) or dense coupling (0.05-2 kg); 3. Use the Impact device for hardness testing; 4. Read and record the indication results.
Notice
• The surface roughness of the specimen should be controlled within 1.6μm; • The minimum thickness of the specimen is 5mm; • The minimum thickness of the hardened layer should be 0.8mm; • When the weight of the specimen is less than 2kg, it should be tightly coupled; • Avoid use under conditions beyond the Measurement range.
