Overview
The DL Impact unit is a hardness testing device of the IPRE brand with 11mJ Impact energy and 7.2g Impact body mass. The unit uses a tungsten carbide ball head with a diameter of 3mm and Hardness 1600HV, which is suitable for a variety of hardness of materials measurement.
Features
1. Impact energy 11mJ
2. Impact mass 7.2g
3. Ball Hardness 1600HV
4. Ball head diameter 3mm
5. Impact device diameter 6mm
6. Impact device length 202mm
7. Impact device mass 60g
8. Maximum measurement Hardness 950HV
Principle
The DL Impact device impacts the surface of the specimen with an energy of 11mJ through the impact body, and the ball head generates a Crain on the specimen. Hardness value is calculated according to the diameter or depth of the Crain. The device measures Hardness in a wide range, from 300HV to 950HV.
Applications
Metal hardness of materials testing, machinery manufacturing, mass testing
Standards
GB/T 17394、ISO 16859
Steps
1. Select the appropriate specimen and ensure that the surface roughness is less than or equal to 1.6 μm
2. Select the support method according to the weight of the specimen: > 5kg direct test, 2-5kg needs stable support, 0.05-2 kg needs special fixing
3. Choose the test method according to the thickness of the specimen: ≥ 5mm direct test, hardened layer ≥ 0.8mm
4. Impact device vertically aligned with the test point
5. Trigger Impact and Record Hardness
6. Accuracy of repeability measurement
Notice
• Specimen surface roughness shall not exceed 1.6μm
• When the weight of the specimen is less than 2kg, it must be firmly fixed
• Compact coupling is required when the thickness of the specimen is less than 5mm
• The thickness of hardened layer shall not be less than 0.8mm
• Keep the device vertical during measurement
• Avoid direct measurement on surfaces or edges
• Measurement accuracy calibrated regularly
