Overview
HP-BCJ Pendulum Impact Tester is a device under the HENGPIN brand for the determination of impact toughness of thin film materials such as Rubber & plastics and metal foils. The instrument uses a standard swing head and a weighted swing arm to measure the energy consumed by the punch to evaluate the impact energy value of the film sample against the pendulum.
Features
1. Impact and break through the sample with a specific impact speed using a semi-circular ball punch.
2. Evaluate the material's anti-pendulum Impact performance by measuring the energy consumed by the punch.
Principle
Impact through the semicircular ball punch at a certain speed and break through the sample, the measurement of the punch in the process of breaking through the sample energy consumption, using this energy value to quantitatively evaluate the anti-pendulum impact ability of the thin film sample.
Applications
Impact toughness test of Plastic film, Rubber film and Metal foil
Standards
GB/T8809-88 Plastic film impact test method
Steps
Prepare a sample with a size of 100 x 100mm.
2. Select the appropriate clamping diameter (50 mm, 60 mm, or 89 mm) according to the sample and clamp the sample.
3. Set the swing angle of the pendulum to 90 degrees.
4. Release the pendulum to Impact the specimen at an Impact velocity of 2.5 m/s.
5. Read and record the energy consumption of the punch (minimum Graduation 0.025J, Impact Energy ≤ 3J).
Notice
• Please ensure that the sample size meets the requirements of 100 * 100mm.
• Select the appropriate specimen holder diameter according to the specimen type.
• Before operation, check whether the swing radius of the pendulum is R280mm and the diameter of the punch is φ 12.7mm.
• Impact Energy Measurement range ≤ 3J.
• Net weight 25kg, please pay attention to safety during handling and installation.
