The instrument uses the Scott type internal bond strength detection method. The principle is: the sample is combined with double-sided tape to form a sandwich structure, and pressed between the metal flat anvil and the aluminum block. By striking the inner surface of the upper part of the aluminum block with a pendulum, the aluminum block is turned over, thereby destroying the sample in the Z direction. By measuring the highest position to which the pendulum swings, the energy absorbed during the failure of the sample is calculated, and the result is expressed in J/m ².

Prepare specimens with a size of 25.4 * 25.4mm or 25.4 * 128mm. 2. Use double-sided tape to combine the specimen and fixture into a sandwich structure. 3. The combined specimen is clamped between the metal anvil and the aluminum block of the instrument. 4. Adjust and apply the specified sample pressure (e.g., (690 +/- 21) kpa or (1034 +/- 34) kpa) through a pressure gauge. 5. Set the test parameters (such as selecting Measurement range A or B). 6. Start the instrument and the pendulum will automatically release and hit the aluminum block. 7. The instrument automatically calculates and displays the Internal Bond Strength value (J/m ² or lbf/in ²). 8. Test results can be output through the Built-in Printer or software connected to a computer.
Before testing, please ensure that the instrument is placed horizontally and the structure is stable. The sample size and thickness must meet the specifications (thickness 0.1 to 5mm). When clamping the specimen, ensure reliable positioning to reduce errors. The sample pressure applied should be within the pressure range specified by the instrument (0 to 65 kg/cm ²). The adhesive force of the double-sided adhesive used must meet the requirements (> 486N/m).
