PUYUN PY-H615 COBB Absorption Tester is a special testing instrument for detecting the Water Absorbency of the surface of paper and Cardboard. It is mainly used to determine the surface water absorption of adhesive paper under the conditions specified by the standard. The instrument evaluates the water resistance performance of paper and Cardboard by measuring the water absorbed by the surface of the unit area paper and Cardboard within the specified time. It is especially suitable for testing the sizing effect of paper.

Principle

The instrument calculates the Cobb water absorption value by measuring the mass difference between the samples before and after water absorption. According to the formula C = (g2-g1) × 100 (g/m ²), where g2 is the mass of the sample after water absorption and g1 is the mass of the sample before water absorption. Calculate the average Cobb value of the front and back of each 5 samples as the test result.

Calculate the average value of each of the 5 samples on the front and back sides as the final result
