Overview
LD-SLX-W sanitary napkin permeability tester is used to test the penetration performance of external physiological products (such as sanitary napkins, sanitary pads and baby diapers) composed of outer coating materials, inner absorption layers, and anti-seepage bottom membranes on specific test fluids. The penetration amount is an important parameter to describe the penetration performance, which reflects the instantaneous absorption capacity of the product when used by the simulated human body. The instrument is developed according to national standards and is suitable for penetration performance testing of sanitary napkins and diapers.
Features
One instrument implements two different modes of testing: sanitary napkins (10 °) and diapers (30 °).
2. Sanitary napkin test distribution Accessories include 1 100ml beaker and 1 10ml pipette.
3. Diaper Test Delivery Accessories include 1 100ml and 10ml measuringflask each, 1 500ml beaker, and 4 stainless steel clips.
Principle
The instrument simulates the tidal surge when the human body is used, and uses gravity to make the dosage flow down the slope with a certain speed across the surface of the sample to test its instantaneous absorption capacity. Penetration performance includes slip seepage (unabsorbed volume), re-seepage (solution mass returned to the surface) and leakage (solution mass through the leak-proof bottom membrane), measured in ml and g, respectively.
Applications
Penetration testing of sanitary napkins and sanitary pads for women, penetration testing of disposable diapers, diapers and paper diaper pads (nursing pads)
Standards
GB/T 8939-2008 "Sanitary napkins (including sanitary pads) ", GB/T 28004-2011 "diapers", QB/T 2493-2000 diapers (including diapers/pads)
Steps
1. Set the instrument angle according to the test type (sanitary napkin or diaper): 10 ° +/- 1 ° for sanitary napkins and 30 ° +/- 2 ° for diapers.
2. Prepare the test solution and corresponding Accessories (such as beaker, pipette, or measuringflask).
3. Place the specimen on the test platform to ensure that it is fixed.
4. Use a drain funnel or Miscellaneous tool to flow the test solution over the specimen surface.
5. Measurement and recording of parameters such as slip, re-leakage and leakage.
Notice
• The instrument is not suitable for adult mild incontinence products, such as pampering towels, etc.
Before testing, check whether the angle setting meets the standard requirements.
• Pay attention to cleaning and correct operation when using Accessories to avoid contamination.
• Ensure that the Test Platform size is 210 * 310mm to maintain test accuracy.
